What is the Salzburg Card?
The Salzburg Card is the official tourist card of Salzburg, offering visitors free admission to over 20 sights and museums, unlimited use of public transport and discounts on other attractions.
This is how the purchase works: Select the day of collection when purchasing. You will receive a digital voucher by e-mail, which you can exchange for the physical card when you arrive in Salzburg (Show pick-up points). The Salzburg Card can be used immediately after collection.

Please note that the Untersbergbahn is closed twice a year for maintenance work. In 2025, the Untersbergbahn will be out of service on the following days: 3 March to 11 April and 3 November to 12 December.
Some museums and attractions are temporarily closed in winter: Hellbrunn Palace, boat trips, folklore museum, open-air museum, Christmas museum. All closing times can be found in the official brochure.

For the entire duration of the Salzburg Card (24, 48 or 72 hours), you can use public transport free of charge. The following means of transport are included:

- Trolleybus lines: 1-14
- Bus lines (Albus): 20-28, 31, 34, 35, 36, 151
- Postbus routes: 120/121 to Elixhausen, 130/140 to Eugendorf, 160 to Elsbethen, 180 to Großgmain, 181 to Walserberg, 170 to Rif/Taxach

How to make the most of the Salzburg Card
The Salzburg Card in four steps
1) Buy Salzburg Card
The Salzburg Card can be purchased online or at the tourist information centres in Salzburg. If you buy online, select the date on which you would like to collect the card.
2) Download online voucher
Print out the online voucher or save it on your phone and take it with you to Salzburg.
3) Collect the Salzburg Card
Pick up your Salzburg Card at one of two pick-up points in the city centre. You can find all pick-up points here.
When you pick up your ticket, you will receive a small travel guide for Salzburg with information on all participating attractions and museums.
4) Activate the Salzburg Card
As soon as you want to use the Salzburg Card, enter your name and the current date and time. From this point on, the card is valid for 24, 48 or 72 hours.
